Here are some of the best Summer makeup must-haves and beauty tips!

Hot humid weather means the sun, the heat, the pool, the beach, camping… and adapting to a summer beauty routine!

Today I offer you a few tips to keep your face “holding up” when it is extremely hot. This includes all the steps to follow in your makeup routine and what to avoid.

Makeup Routine for Hot Humid Weather

How to Wear Summer Makeup

1. Use Light makeup!

Nothing worse than realizing that your contouring has gently slipped down and that your blush has spread to the ears in the heatwave!

To prevent this from happening, the idea is to go lighter. And with a little tanned complexion, anyway, we already look good (if you are the one who does not tan, you can always cheat in a natural way).

It is also a good idea to opt for a DD/BB cream in place of a foundation. Though this is totally dependant on the activity for the day.

But before this, cleanse your face using an anti breakout and anti-blemish cleansing gel. This will help keep all breakouts and blemishes off your skin during this season.

A good moisturizer, sunscreen, lip balm, eyebrow gel, and a touch of mascara! A successful summer look!

2. Add a primer to your beauty routine

The “primer“, that is to say, the product to prepare your skin before putting on your foundation or your BB cream can double the hold of your makeup!

There is a very wide variety, depending on your skin type and the effect you prefer.

Personally, I like those that give a poreless and smooth finish. If you want to be sure that your foundation remains in place all day long, this is the solution!

3. Invest in waterproof mascara and eye pencil

The word “invest” is used here figuratively, because I never pay too much for my mascara: it only lasts 3 months! It is however the ideal duration to accompany you all summer!

Choose mascara and a waterproof black (or brown ) pencil to intensify your look when it’s very hot. In this way, neither sweat nor your bomb in the pool will make your makeup flow!

Little advice if you hate oil makeup remover, almost essential for removing water-repellent mascara. You can put a layer of your usual mascara and apply the water repellent second.

The result is the same but is a little less harsh on our precious eyelashes and it will be less difficult to remove!

Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara

  • No clumping or flaking occurred while using this volumizing mascara.
  • Covergirl cosmetics are certified cruelty-free by Cruelty-Free International with their Leaping Bunny logo.

4. Keep a compact powder or matting papers in your bag

Nothing could be flatter than going to the bathroom in the middle of a party and realizing that your T-zone is extra shiny! Use a compact powder to fix that.

Always carry small mattifying papers or face oil blotting sheets in your handbag to mop up the shiny spots on your face, or even a compact mattifying powder.

5. Use a cream blush

cream product will be easier to blend on your cheeks on hot days than a powder. If you don’t want to spend on that, you can use a pink or raspberry lipstick, which you will lightly blur on your face.

Maybelline Fit Me Blush

  • In addition to a wide selection of foundations (in liquid, stick, and cushion form), Maybelline also sells a variety of concealers, face primers, contour, highlighter, and pressed powders to help you achieve your desired look.
  • Makeup may be easily removed with Garnier Micellar Water before bed, and in the morning, before using Maybelline, you can use it as a facial cleanser.

6. Choose a water-resistant bronzer

Your bronzer is extremely useful in your summer makeup bag! It is certain that if you put on SPF 60 and wear a hat, you may have to cheat your tan a little with a tan.

It is also your best friend when you want to add definition to your look without launching yourself into a big smokey that risks sinking.

Apply bronzer in the hollow of your eye and blend gently with a brush. You can also put a little under your eyes, near the lash line, to emphasize your look in a natural way.

7. Dare the intense long-lasting eyeshadow colors

It is not because we are in the heatwave that we must abandon our glittery evening looks ! Just be sure to always apply an eye makeup base before your eye shadow.

The rule is the same with regard to the greasier pencils or the gel eyeliners.

You can fix everything with an eye shadow of the same color applied over it with a beveled brush so that it will hold during the whole party!

8. Finalize your look with a fixing spray

Then Now you should care to use a long-lasting makeup setting spray.

This NYX finishing spray works the magic of binding everything up together. It makes the makeup look natural and well set.

The colors blend in well and the products don’t merge.

8. Go for SPF Lip balm

Lips tend to need to be taken care of. Using an SPF lip balm will prevent them from cracking and keep them well dehydrated. Use it generously.

9. Drag a small case in your purse

We may have all the tips and tricks in the world against heat, but we still have to do touch-ups!

Choose a small makeup case (it can also be a plastic sandwich bag, no stress) in which you put a mattifying powder, a mascara, a moisturizing lipstick, and a deodorant.

This way, you will have your little survival kit to go from the beach to the BBQ for the party of your best friend without worry!

10. Don’t Forget Sunscreen

This Neutrogena sunscreen is easy to apply and doesn’t give a shiny effect. It will protect you from sunburns and UV rays dangers.

11. A fresh mist as a humid hot weather makeup hack

When the humid weather heat becomes hard to bear, consider using a mist spray perfume.

This small hack will make you feel so refreshed and your skin will stay hydrated.

12. Take good care of your hair

For most people, heat comes with dry and frizzy hair. But this should not be your case.

Moisturize your hair using the right products. Use a leave-in conditioner rich in antioxidants and other active ingredients that keep the hair hydrated. It helps control unwanted frizz.
